First Mother Farms currently stewards a small urban garden space and supports local partners in growing healing spaces across the U.S. rooted in Indigenous Knowledge Systems, our vision is to grow a regenerative farm in the greater Sacramento region—on ancestral Nisenan and Miwok lands—where food sovereignty, cultural healing, and relationship with land can flourish. We are actively seeking a land partnership to cultivate a one-acre (or more) site that can serve as a living space for heirloom foods, Indigenous plants, and community nourishment. We welcome creative, reciprocal partnerships grounded in respect for Indigenous stewardship and long-term land access—whether through lease, donation, co-stewardship, or institutional support. Together, we can grow a future where land is not just farmed, but honored.
